Retailer Marketing Ideas

Some retailers worry that marketing is too expensive, others may find it too time consuming.  But without announcing who you are and what you sell, how will anyone find you?  Here are some “quick-hit” marketing ideas:

  1. Print a tagline on your business cards that explains why someone should buy from you
  2. Develop brochures explaining how your business helps your customers.  Be certain to include strong customer testimonials.  Leave it in places where your target market might visit
  3. Provide customers with free t-shirts with your logo on them
  4. Provide monthly “clinics” on the best ways to use your products, or as an alternative, submit monthly articles to your local newspaper.  This positions you as an expert
  5. Have a customer appreciation day

Investigate ways to utilize the “new media.”  By now, at a minimum, yourCredit Card website needs to be functional and you should be looking for ways to network utilizing sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Don’t be afraid to experiment.
